Preliminary damage estimates for last Friday's hail storm in Rose Hill are close to a million dollars.
Rose Hill school officials repaired over 150 holes on some building roofs last weekend.
Insurance adjustors increased the damage from small to large claims.
"If at least one roof needs to be replaced, it will cost at least a million dollars," said Rose Hill School Superintendent Randal Chickadonz.
Last week's hail stones were measured at golfball to baseball in size.
An estimated 90% of homes in Rose Hill received roof and siding damage, said Rose Hill City Manager Kathy Raney.
Final damage estimates will be available next week.
