UPDATE: Friday, March 15, 2013
A plea agreement remains in progress for the mother charged with first-degree murder in the March 2012 death of her daughter in El Dorado.
The defense said they are hoping to reach a plea agreement before the jury trial in June. Prosecutors also echoed a similar response.
Butler County Chief Judge David Ricke asked what is the ongoing problem where the counsels are "unable to pull the trigger" on this case.
Prosecutors say there is an on going investigation that includes Haag's ex-boyfriend. No further details were released.
The jury trial is set for June 3 at 9 a.m. A pre-trial conference is set for May 31 at 10 a.m.

An El Dorado mother who was set to go to trial for the murder of her daughter may change her plea this afternoon in Butler County court.
Alyssa Haag is charged with first-degree murder in the March 2012 death of 18-month-old Jayla Haag. She was scheduled to go to trial last month but has a new plea hearing set for today. Haag had previously entered a plea of not guilty.
Jayla Haag died of injuries prosecutors say were the result of child abuse. Officials say the girl sustained bruises all over her body, had multiple burn scars and most of her bottom teeth had been forcibly removed.
Justin Edwards, Haag's ex-boyfriend, was initially charged with first-degree murder in the child's death but that charge was later dropped. He is jail on charges not related to this case.
