It's not Veteran's Day or even the Fourth of July. But, this weekend 4,000 Kansas veterans and family members will gather in one place.
The Annual Kansas Veterans and Family Reunion opens Friday at El Dorado Lake. In the next 3 days, thousands of veterans, their spouses and children will fill the Shady Creek area of the lake for fun, entertainment, support and of course, fellowship.
There are dozens of tents where kids can make crafts, military displays, live bands performing Friday and Saturday night, and firework displays.
The Kansas Veterans Family Reunion continues all weekend. The public is invited to attend. There is a $3 per person charge. If you would like to attend or want more information about the reunion click on the words "Related Link" directly beneath this story.
