StaffMark, a local staffing agency, wants workers. It currently has more than 100 jobs ready to be filled.

The agency hires workers for many local companies. Johnson Controls is just one company represented. According to Johnson Controls Training Director Joe Ladish, Johnson Controls has at least 100 open jobs in its company alone.

"There are jobs all over Wichita," said Ladish. "People just have to go out and get them... The jobs are not going to come to them. They have to go look for those jobs because we're not the only ones hiring," he said.

The type of jobs StaffMark has available includes production, assembly, clerical, IT, and accounting.

The jobs start out as temporary work, but many employees are hired full time. Already this year StaffMark's Shannon Wright said more than 150 people have been hired on full time.

All new hires are told many times throughout the process that most of the jobs are seven days a week. Wright said they are trying to get back to five day work weeks, but there is too much work.

Workers get paid weekly and have the option of benefits. Pay is awarded by the hour, including overtime.

StaffMark is located at 3805 N. Hydraulic. The office can be reached by phone at (316) 831-0881.
