The next U.S. Census won't be conducted until 2010, but now is the time to apply for a job as a census-taker or manager.
About 1,000 workers will be needed throughout the state, and hiring will be done in February and March.
Part-time jobs start at $10 an hour, and the government pays
mileage for the personal use of a vehicle. Managerial pay starts at
$22 an hour.
