City Council Announces Five Finalists For City Manager

The Wichita City Council has released the list of five finalists for Wichita City Manager.

An official announcement of the candidates names came during a news conference Friday afternoon.

The finalists are:

Norton Bonaparte Jr., City Manager of Topeka

Floyd Johnson, Community Redevelopment Agency Executive Director from Riviera Beach, Florida

Robert Layton, City Manager of Urbandale, Iowa

George "Skip" Noe, Former City Manager of Corpus Christi, Texas

Bill Buchanan, Sedgwick County Manager

Mayor Carl Brewer says he is very pleased with the choices.

"We have some very good candidates," said Brewer

The council is hoping to bring them out for interviews next Wednesday through Friday.
