The clock is ticking down as the 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' crew and hundreds of volunteers scramble to finish a new home for Carl Hall. The deadline is Thursday. That's when the 'Extreme Makeover' magic will finally be revealed.
Volunteers started the morning pouring the driveway and sidewalk, making sure the 'Extreme Makeover' home is wheelchair accessible.
To assist the former Shocker All-American, who is confined to a wheelchair because of a car accident last summer, builders installed an elevator inside to get Carl from the main floor to the basement.
One of the stars of 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,' Ty Pennington, made his first appearance on site to check on the progress. Producers say construction is ahead of schedule with volunteers coming out of the woodwork.
Inside, painters, trim carpenters and tile installers are working frantically to finish the home. In less than 48 hours, the Halls will be home.
