Chapman store owners say business is booming thanks to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
The local stores which suffered damage from June's tornado are supplying dozens of cast and crew members and hundreds of volunteers with an exponential amount of supplies they need to finish EMHE biggest build ever.
"It's been hectic as heck," said John Londeen, owner of Londeen's hardware store. "We have electricians, carpenters, painters, everyone coming in. We've been busy," he said.
So, with all of the additional business, one would assume profits at Londeen's are at an all time high. Londeen says they are, but not in the way most people may imagine.
To Londeen, the money in his cash register at the end of the night is not what determines profitability. He says it's about how to keep the giving going and giving back to those who are without.
"We're giving most of this away," Londeen said. "We're doing what we need to for the community."
People in Chapman have always been of the giving spirit. Londeen says having the extreme team in town is just bringing that spirit into the public eye.
