Warren Theatres raised a new screen at their World Class IMAX Theatre Tuesday. The new 3D Silver Screen is the finest IMAX screen now available and will improve the quality of the already spectacular IMAX picture by increasing light levels by up to 50 percent.

“This theatre has been one of the most successful IMAX Theatres in all of North America,” said Bill Warren, Warren Theatre President. “But out philosophy has always been to stay ahead through new technology. When we find something that can improve the motion picture experience for our customers, we take advantage of it. It would be easy not to make those kinds of investments, but that’s not who we are."

The Wichita IMAX was closed on Monday and Tuesday so the original screen could be taken down and the new screen raised. Nearly 60 people, including Warren staff members, hoisted the screen in place so final adjustments and testing could be conducted prior to re-opening the IMAX on Wednesday.
