Award-winning country singer Randy Travis is hospitalized at a Texas hospital in critical condition.
A press release from Travis' public relations team says the singer is suffering from complications from viral cardiomyopathy, an infection of the heart muscle. Travis was admitted to the hospital on Sunday.
The Grammy Award winner is best known for his hits "Three Wooden Crosses," "Forever and Ever, Amen," "Diggin' Up Bones," and "Deeper Than the Holler." He was sentenced to two years probation in January of this year for an August 2012 DUI arrest.
