The audience voted for determined dancer Tom Delay but stress fractures on both feet stopped him short on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars".

Delay triumphantly raised his arms in the air when he received the public vote to move on to the next round after dancing his rendition Monday night of "Why Can't We Be Friends?"

On Monday, he showed that he can play through the pain, and the judges admired his spunk. Delay teared up with disappointment when making the announcement that he is bowing out.

"Dancing" host Tom Bergeron offered Delay a chance to return if he mends before the finale to dance the Texas two step. Delay eagerly accepted to audience applause.

Actress Debbie Mazur was the latest celebrity to be voted off the show. There are now 11 contestants remaining.
