Judge Tosses Most Of A Case Against Keanu Reeves

A Los Angeles judge has thrown out most of a lawsuit filed by a free-lance celebrity photographer against actor Keanu Reeves.

The judge says the actor's driving did not warrant assault-and-battery claims by Alison Silva. The judge also says Silva can't seek punitive damages against Reeves.

Silva says he was seriously injured when he was struck by Reeves' Porsche in March 2007. Reeves attorneys argued that Silva placed his hand on the car and tripped over his own feet.

The photographer can still pursue a negligence claim, which Reeves did not contest.
