More than 30 years after a handicapped El Dorado woman was killed, her murderer has never been caught.

Crimestoppers is hoping you can help crack a cold case.

26-year-old Sandra Talbott was a victim of an especially violent crime. Her throat was deeply cut, her clothes were torn off and wrists and ankles were bound together with a red and white fish stringer.

Her mother last saw Sandra on June 11, 1977. She dropped off her daughter at St. John's School in El Dorado. But when she arrived to pick Sandra up, her daughter didn't show. Her body was later found near 111th South and 231st West, in area known as Twin Bridges.

Police found that Sandra had gone to several places after she left the school, starting in El Dorado at a nightclub. She was given a ride to Wichita and went to several other night clubs. Several people remember seeing Sandra that night and the next day. But investigators lost track of who she was with the following night, around midnight. She wandered away from apartments in the 200 block of 31st street south and was never seen alive again.

Sandra Talbott was just five feet tall and weighed 115 pounds. A 1973 car accident left her mentally impaired. She used a cane and wore a leg brace.

Investigators say her impairments might have made her an easy target.

Police did arrest a suspect at the time, but he passed a polygraph test and was soon released.
