A man who took nearly $10,000 in extra paychecks from his former employer, which helps child sexual abuse victims, will have to spend a weekend in jail.

Michael Young was sentenced Monday to two days' incarceration and two years' probation for stealing from the National Children's Alliance. He'll have to pay back the money.

Young is one of three former alliance employees to plead guilty in a payroll scheme that cost the organization $50,000. He said he was embarrassed and argued that the theft wasn't his idea, but devised by his bosses who included him to buy his silence.

The alliance has more than 700 Children's Advocacy Centers across the country devoted to helping children who have suffered abuse.
