Stanley Bloom was 47 years-old when he was gunned down inside his own home last July. Police say it appeared there had been a robbery inside. Some personal items were missing.

"He went by 'Bro,'" says Blooms son Sean. "Everybody called him Bro. It started with the family, and his friends called him bro, too."

"He was always a happy guy. He did what he had to do. He was a loving father," the younger Bloom says.

The murder happened at 313 North Millwood on July 10th, 2007. The landlord noticed the front door had been kicked in. As he went inside, he found Stanley Bloom dead of a gunshot wound.

"It appeared he had been there for a while," says Wichita Police Detective Tom Fatkin. He says the last time Bloom was heard from was about 18 hours prior.

Detectives have no suspects identified. They ask that if anyone has any information, to call Crimestoppers at 267-2111. Tipsters can always remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward if a suspect is identified and arrested.

Fatkin says there's someone out there with helpful information.
"Sometimes I think people get to the point that they have some information and think it's not important. We're seeking any and all information."

"The phone rings for a while on these types of cases," Fatkin says, "But then people kinda forget."

Forget is something Sean Bloom will never do. He was very close to his father. They saw each other often. "I saw him nearly every day if I could. Any day that I could see my dad, I was there."
