This week on Cost Cutters, Larry explains why we should stop clipping coupons.

Clipping coupons is time consuming. We’ve all done it, because the food companies have trained us well. Now, “clipping” has gone digital and your scissors may soon become obsolete.

A website called Cellfire collects coupons from your local area and downloads them to your cell phone.

An added benefit, coupons from Dillon’s Food Stores not only download to your phone, it lets you choose the coupons you want, and then it adds them automatically to your Dillon’s “Plus Card”.

If you don’t have a mobile phone, just select the coupons by logging onto Cellfire’s website. From there, you can transfer the coupon to your Dillon’s card.

Best Buy is also on Cellfire. With their coupons, you just show the cell phone screen to your cashier and they deduct the coupon.

For now, the selection of coupons are limited because the system is new. To visit Cellfire's website, click here.
