Jonathan Blank, a U.S. Marine, was taking over a compound in Afghanistan with his platoon when he stepped on an IED and lost both legs.

His family has been traveling to Maryland where Jonathan is working to recover from his injuries.

A fundraiser luncheon has been arranged for Friday, December 17th at the Immanuel Baptist Church at 1415 S. Topeka from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to help the Blank family with travel and lodging costs.
