The Sedgwick County Sheriff's office in Wichita is turning to social media as one more way to reach the public.

The agency said Monday it's launching a Facebook page that will include safety bulletins, news on wanted persons, upcoming events and historical information.

Users who want to "friend" the sheriff's office can search on Facebook for "Sedgwick County Sheriff." Select the page with the badge as the profile picture and click the "like" button.
