County leaders want the obesity rate down. They are taking their message on-line in hopes that everyone will take a minute during their day and do some "deskercises."
"There has been many people who sit there till 2-3 o'clock and they hardly move and that increases obesity increases heart disease," Kristina Helmer, Sedgwick County Wellness Educator said.
Sedgwick County Commission Chairman Karl Peterjohn along with several other county leaders made this video called "Movin' in a Minute." They demonstrate several exercises county employees can do during their day. It's all part of an effort to keep people healthy.
It started with just a message to county employees. Now, it’s graduated to these videos.
