There are a lot of job seekers at job fairs like this one but not enough jobs to meet the demand.

Gary Karr’s been unemployed about 16 months. He’s among the hundreds dropping off resumes and picking up applications hoping their search leads to employment.

"It's just been terrible trying to find a job even to get an interview,” Karr said. “Now I've had some second interviews but still no job."

It’s a start, but no paycheck. Andrea Sager has been out of a job for four months, saying she’s never had this much difficulty finding a job.

"I've submitted 100 resumes and receive maybe two responses and have yet to be scheduled in for any interviews at this time," Sager said.

She, at least got an interview out of this one day event. Those who set up the job fair can gauge the economy by how many exhibitors come.

"We've had at times 70, 80 even up to 100 exhibitors, companies that are hiring and so forth. This year if you've noticed on the sign we've got about 40-45 exhibitors," Bob Loudermilk
Quantum Exhibitions Intl. President said.

The job market is pretty tough especially for new graduates.

My degree is in art education and because of all the budget cuts and layoffs of teachers I am having quite a hard time finding something related to that," Kylee Kahmeyer art teacher graduate, said.

"So even if there are some signs of improvement on hiring nationally, it doesn't begin to meet the demand that's being found here.
