The National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI) has accepted the application of Wesley Medical Center. Wesley was admitted as a supporter to NACHRI because the hospitals goals, services and activities fulfill a commitment to the advocacy of children and children’s health.

“We welcome Wesley to the family of caregivers devoted to improving the health of children, and we look forward to its active involvement,” said NACHRI President and CEO Lawrence A. McAndrews. “Because of their focus on children, institutions like Wesley are able to identify emerging trends and problems associated with the health of children.”

Some of the issues NACHRI addresses include uninsured children, children dependent on Medicaid, injury prevention, child abuse and neglect, quality of care, patient safety and seriously ill children.

“We are pleased that the quality and extent of our children’s programs were judged to qualify us for participation in NACHRI,” said Hugh Tappan, Wesley president and CEO. “We look forward to our active participation with other children’s hospitals in improving children’s health and in sharing ideas for better management of their care.” Wesley’s children’s services include:
