For some, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of music’s greatest - Billy Joel and Elton John.
For Wichitan Branden Stitt, just being in the same arena as the two, well, he was beside himself despite his nosebleed seats.
"If the stage is here we were here at the very top behind them," Stitt said.
That’s when luck kicked in. One of Elton John’s employees walked up to Stitt and his friend just before the concert began.
"He said how would you guys like to go to the front row? And of course I was like, I didn't believe him at first I thought whatever," Stitt said.
But it was true and Stitt still has the front row ticket and the pictures to prove it.
"When Elton walked by I held my hand out and he grabbed it so it was unbelievable, unbelievable. He is an amazing performer," Stitt said.
Billy Joel told the crowd of over 15,000 that they hold the front seats for fans so that as he put it “the seats aren’t taken by fat cats who pay big bucks to scalpers to be up front.”
For Stitt, it was a dream come true and he appreciates the star’s generosity
"It's totally cool to be chosen... for zero dollars," Stitt said.
