The Wichita Police Department’s pages on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube are now accessible directly from the WPD public website, making it easier for citizens to follow news and important public safety information from the department. The web address for the Police Department is www.wichita.gov/cityoffices/police

WPD regularly posts information about a variety of topics on Twitter and Facebook, including alerts that ask citizens to help solve crimes, the Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week and, now, monthly reports on Crime Statistics.

WPD is also posting videos on its official YouTube channel. Videos include surveillance videos that might assist the department in solving crimes, and segments from the WPD program Behind the Badge, a monthly program on Cox cable channel City7 that offers crime prevention tips and information about special projects involving the Wichita Police Department.

To find the links on the WPD website, click here and look for the Twitter, Facebook and YouTube icons on the left side near the top of the page.
