Adam is a 9-year-old boy with a heart of gold. For the third straight year, he's worked collecting toys for Wichita's Catholic Charities. Each year he says his Christmas wish is for all children to have something to open Christmas morning, so each year he works harder and harder to make that dream come true.

This year Adam went around his neighborhood, to area businesses, churches and schools to collect toys. He collected more than 950 toys, a new record.

As if Adam's story is not incredible enough on its own, this year there's a special catch. Adam's father was recently laid off due to the weakening economy, but to Adam, it doesn't matter. His mission is on helping other kids who he says are less fortunate than him.

Adam's goal was to collect 1,500 toys this year. He's only 500 short. If you would like to help Adam reach his goal you can bring a toy to the Catholic Charities drop site on east Kellogg drive.

Adam would like to thank all of his neighbors, St. Elizabeth Parish, Best Buy, Great Clips, Olive Garden, Cake Stuff for their help and support collecting toys.
