so you mean the city is waving the "we cant afford to fix the street" stick to get people to let them raise taxes? whats next, the usual cut money for law enforcement, youth and elderly programs as usual? why cant the city be a little fiscally responsible? I have to live within my budget, why cant they? how many times do you see the city crews patching potholes in the rain? you know the patch wont stick to wet pavement, but they waste money doing it anyway.
i wonder if any of this "extra" money is from the BAILOUT that the state received? how about our fine city leaders take a pay cut? our mayor should see the problems and start with his check and then leade by example, no reason a person needs to earn 250K a year how about you high paid so called excutives take a pay cut and quit padding your pockets and then have the john q public pick up the slack, every time we turn around wichita is broke....maybe wichita needs a new accountant and STOP spending money on stupid stuff, and spend it on what needs to be done, Im tired of the higher ups saying wichita is broke as they sit back with FAT bank accounts, YOUR the reason wichita is broke. STOP giving yourselves a raise all the time for doing NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
