The Emporia Arts Council says it's halfway toward its goal of raising $62,000 as part of a push to build an arts center.
An anonymous donor gave $75,000 to the council, with the stipulation that the community raise $62,000.
EAC Executive Director Melissa Windsor says the council needs to raise another $31,000.
Supporters have been raising funds for two years to build a $2.8 million arts center.
The proposed center would include studios and galleries, conference meeting rooms, a kitchen, a small theater and other amenities.
