The change was prompted by an offer from Wichita based High Touch, Inc. to be the prime sponsor of the 2009 tournament. Organizers say Winfield was a great home but the event had begun to outgrow it's previous home.
35 teams played in over 30 games in three different divisions Saturday, including the home run derby. Cessna offered the use of several fields at the Cessna Employees Activity Center - athletes also played on several Wichita city fields at at Campus High School.
Special Olympics golfing concluded Friday at Clapp Golf Course. This was also the first year of that tournament in Wichita.
