Ten-year-old Caitlyn Johnson was critically burned in a house fire in March. A fundraiser is being held tonight at the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon. All proceeds will go to the care of Caitlyn.
A silent auction will run from 5-7 p.m. and the live auction will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Horse drawn wagon rides, train rides and old cowboy movies are available until dinner is served at 6:30pm. The all-you-can-eat smoked brisket dinner will be followed by the live auction and concert by the Prairie Rose Rangers.
The silent and live auction includes autographed memorabilia by sports teams and nationally known bands. Western art, horses, horse tack, hay trailer, mobile electric chair, tools, home and garden décor, pinball machine, fine jewelry by Mike Seltzer, and gift certificates from various local businesses. Little Bull Auction and Sales has donated auction services. Additional donations are encouraged.
The ticket price for this event has been reduced to $20 for adults, $10 for children age 6-12 and $5 for 3-5 year olds. Cash donations can be made at the fundraising event or they can be sent to the Caitlyn’s Benefit Fund at Meritrust Credit Union (formerly Boeing Credit Union).
Advance reservations are required by the Prairie Rose to plan for the food service. Limited seating. Persons wanting to attend can call 316-778-2121. Spend a wonderful evening helping a very deserving child.
