Charity Event Raises Thousands For Wichita Teen

A fundraising event for Wichita teenager Kyle Hicks took in more than $5,700 in donations. The event, held at All Star Sports East Tuesday, featured teams from local television stations and other well known Wichitans competing in a "Superstars" competition.
Hicks, 18, has a rare skin disease and needs a bone marrow transplant. His parents' insurance will not pay for the cost of the treatment.
The Wichita community has raised more than $300,000 to pay for Kyle's treatment.
KAKE's Susan Peters, Larry Hatteberg, Jeff Herndon, Jay Prater and Cayle Thompson took part in the event,
