The Kansas Humane Society moved from southeast Wichita to its new site at K-96 and Hillside. The new location, the Murfin Animal Care Campus, is twice the size and houses more comfortable spaces for the animals.
Betty Murfin, whose family the clinic is named after, was on hand to see the $10 million facility open its doors to the public. The money for the project came from private donations. The facility has more than 40,000 square feet.
The animal care campus is open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
