The National Teachers Hall of Fame in Emporia is seeking financial help after three sponsors pulled their support.
The hall's board of directors will meet Friday to discuss possible fundraising to keep the hall of fame in business, said Michael Lane, chairman of the board.
The hall recently lost three big sponsors — the New York Times, Pearson Education and Sodexo. Lane said each group had contributed about $20,000 a year to the hall.
The hall also is trying to sell its former home. Lane said the renters who shared the building and made it possible to operate there have left.
