On Saturday morning the Wichita Start! Heart Walk kicked its events at Cessna Stadium.

Teams that wanted to take a stand and fight heart disease and stroke took part in a one-mile 5K walk to make people more aware of the importance of living healthy lives.

The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association's largest fundraising event. The money raised goes to support heart disease and stroke research. It also funds educational programs in the Greater Wichita area.
