The United Way is doing its best to help. Their new Laid-Off Worker Center opened this week in the former Riverside hospital building.
More than 500 out-of-work aircraft workers have made appointments at the Laid-Off Worker Center this week. The center does not accept walk-ins. Appointments can be made by calling 2-1-1.
Later this month, the center will start taking appointments for its July session.
