Cargill To Host Arkansas River Trash Roundup

Cargill employees, the City of Wichita, the Arkansas River Coalition and community volunteers are joining together to clean up trash from the Arkansas River in preparation for the 2009 River Festival. The event also marks Cargill’s Earth Day celebration.

The trash roundup will take place on May 2nd, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Volunteers will meet at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

The first 500 volunteers will receive a free t-shirt. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served to all volunteers immediately following the cleanup.
