Catholic Charities Christmas Sharing Program will provide 386 families with food and more than 1,000 children with toys, hats, gloves, and stocking stuffers on Dec. 12 and 13.
Many items are needed, including toys for children ages birth to 17, hats, and gloves for boys of all ages and girls ages 8 to 17 and infants through 3 years of all ages. Food ideas needed are peanut butter, pasta and cereal.
On Monday, Dec. 8 through Wednesday, Dec. 10, donations will be accepted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Northwest Centre, 8510 W.13th St., Ste.130, the northeast corner of Tyler and 13th Streets.
During the distribution of toys and food, families have the opportunity to pick items out for the children in their home. This provides a meaningful way for families to feel that they are a part of their children's Christmas - inspiring hope in their heart as they carefully select items for each of their children.
Volunteer are needed Dec. 8 - 13 to sort donations, decorate, assist families during distribution, wrap gifts, and more.
