A soup kitchen in Hutchinson is asking for the public's help to allow it to continue its ministry.
The Christian Soup Ministry says it's freezer and restroom sinks need to be replaced, at a cost of more than $1,320.
Director Stanley Murdock says she is already grateful to the community for its support of efforts to serve the needy four days a week. In the past year, the kitchen received donations for a new floor, lighting, refrigerators and freezers. Last spring, it received a donated 10-burner gas restaurant stove.
The Hutchinson News reports that the kitchen has served more than 26,000 meals since January.
