Okay, I know I am not supposed to be impressed because this "girls into sports " thing has been going on a long time.   But, I am still very impressed by how into this they are,   how much they want to win....and yes,  how aggresive they are. 

Jenna has been playing basketball since she was nine....she's now 12.   Every year she  and her team get more determined...more like real basketball players.  

When I was a kid,  playing basketball....or any sport,  just wasnt the "in" thing to do.  Now ,  it's not only the "in"  ...its almost a requirement.    I LOVE watching these girls.    They can loose five games in a row (which many times they do)  and still come out runnin' and gunnin'  in the sixth game.   These games are just as important as anything else in their lives.  

I sat there tonight and watched my daughters face get red with trying.   I watched her get a little angry at some of her opponents..I watched her shoot for basket after basket.... most of which she didnt make.    I was just so proud.   I know all you mothers of girls know how I feel.  

I had to leave her game early to get back to work .   She texted me when the game was over to tell me her team lost.     I texted back "that's alright.....you all were so aggresive.   I was very proud of you."  She texted me back.. "thanks , but we could have done better."      .......spoken like a "real"  basketball player....you couldn't tell she is a girl.
