My husband was Best Man in a wedding on September 12th. My daughters were Jr Brides Maid and Girl at the Guestbook.
When I first found out this wedding was to take place on a farm ....and the reception will be in a barn, well let's just say I really wasn't looking forward to it. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. It was seriously one of the funnest weddings I have been to in a long time. The setting for the vows was beautiful. It was outdoors in a lush green setting....beautifully decorated. The reception was in the barn on the farm (also beautifully decorated).
Many people attented the wedding in jeans and a hat. The bride and the bridesmaids wore flip-flops under their gowns. The bridesmaids walked down the aisle to the song "Sweet Home Alabama." The father of the groom changed out of his tuxedo into jeans minutes after his daughter took her vows. The centerpieces for the tables were old , used cowboy boots with flowers inside. You get the picture....pretty redneck.....and unbelievably fun.!!!!
I have never seen the show "My Big Fat Redneck Wedding" (my kids love the show), but I am sure this wedding would qualify.
We ate barbeque, danced to country music till midnight, and found out that cowboy boots really do look great with a tuxedo!! I have attatched two pictures of my family that we took at the wedding. We like the one on the John Deere so much it will probably be our Christmas Card picture!! Thank you to the bride and groom...Laura and Carl Boynton for a darn good time!
BTW, in case you are interested , the name of the farm is Fulton Family Farm.
