I like sunshine as much as the next guy, but I have to admit , this summer's "thunderstormy" weather has been exquisite. It's almost been romantic. In my opinion, we have had just the right number of sunny days and stormy days. I only have to water my flowers once every two days or so. This is true summer weather - a little bit of everything. My children (as I am sure yours) are thoroughly enjoying it also. My dog, not so much.
I love the temperatures too. It also gives you a darn good reason to stay indoors and catch up on summer reading (as if I've had a moment to do that!). Anyway, it has caused me to relax a lot more. It has relieved pressure to always "have to be outside" doing something. Which, in turn, gives us time for "spiritual reflection". So thank you, God, for the rain! Thank you for sparing us a lot of severe weather. Thank you for giving us the time to relax (my kids say thanks too, Lord!).
