Tonight , my daughter , Nikki is here.  (she is wonderful)  (she wrote that).

She does make me laugh alot.   So on a night like tonight, when we are going on late because of the NBA game,  it's nice to have her around.    I cherish the summertime because at least once a week either Jenna or Nicole comes back to work with me.    After the news,  we go home and have a "popcorn party."    Okay, one of my daughters thinks she is too old for a "popcorn party"  but at times I can convice her to humor me and share a bowl.    Usually, when they come to the newsroom, they go right to the top drawer of my desk because they know that's where I keep the Dove Chocolates. 

Nikki is my oldest daughter .  She is my pride and joy (she wrote this too!!).  Seriously, she is so much fun to be with.  I am so proud the way she is navigating High School.  It is so tough on kids these days ...and I am very proud of the way she is handling the pressures .   Not that we haven't had our run-ins.    I just really like having her at work with me sometimes.
