PRESIDENT IN GREENSBURG

What are your thoughts on this weekends events in Greensburg?  There were a ton of events, the President was there, national and local media were all around.   Was it a "fitting" anniversary celebration?  How about the coverage? There were a lot of "special reports" over the past week, did  you enjoy seeing all of the untold stories as well as the those on the rebuilding?

Bush was pandering for the RW. Looking for good publicity because he has screwed up everything else. I think he should have stayed away.

Beautiful Side Of Evil I See...

Posted by: Jon I thought it was all done very tastefully. I was happy to see that President Bush was able to come back to the small town of Greensburg and from watching the graduation ceremony the people of Greensburg appreciate his visit.

My thoughts on Greensburg? Well first let me say that i'm very proud of the town has down in efforts to rebuild. It's wonderful to see such a small town pull together after such a horrible event. But I feel there's been to much media coverage. This may sound selfish, but what about the 23 victims that lost there lives April 26 1991? By yet another F5. I might add not an EF5 but still an F5 at that. Now I was only 2 when the tornado struck andover, but my house was right in the path. I remember my dad taking me outside to stick me underneath the crawl space of the house, and to this day I can still see that big black wall coming for our house & our farm. Again I support Greensburg 110% in there rebuilding efforts, CONGRATULATIONS to you for making it one year. If you can survive a storm of that size then you can survive anything. I just wish local news stations did a better job of covering our story on the anniversary of the tornado this year. we barley got a mention
