A Long Winter's Night

So the holidays are now over and the lovely weather we had over the weekend will soon be history. That leaves us with just exactly how long until spring?

This is the way I see it --I don't mind the cold and the snow through New Year's Eve--it lends a nice festive air to the celebration. But after that--well as far as I'm concerned the months of January and February could be wiped off the calander and I would rejoice!

I'm tired of walking outside and freezing, I'm tired of scraping my car windows, I'm tired of not being able to open all the windows in my house to let in the fresh air---the list could go on and on and on.

I am an absolute summer person--I love working out in the yard, sitting on the porch on a warm night etc...etc...

So how do we make the next few months go by asap?--Any advice is appreciated!

I, to, get the winter "ho-hums", but through the years i've learned how to spend the time in a positive way. I read alot in the winter. Curl up with a good book, and a cup of hot cocoa, or go through those old magazines from last spring again, and get your creativity going by thinking of how to spruce up the house once the temps start climbing. I spend the winter months PREPARING for spring, making pretty pillow covers, or new floral arraingments in colors to celebrate the new season. When spring finally arrives, i'm ready to display my work, and just enjoy watching everything bloom with new life. The cold blustery days just seem to fly by!!
