Laughing My Head Off

You may have watched the other day around 5:05 when we had a camera error and I could NOT stop laughing. Here's what happened if you were wondering what was going on. We have a new camera man and he was going to set up my camera on a tight shot of me. The poor guy slipped and fell and as he was falling he grabbed hold of the camera. The camera was on my face and quickly jumped to the ceiling. For some reason at five in the morning, I thought this was hilarious. I asked him if he was ok, he was fine and then I laughed and laughed, just because the shot was so funny. It was one of those times when once I started laughing I could not stop. Poor Mike had to start talking for me.. So, if you saw it, I hope you got a little giggle too. By the way our camera operator is doing just fine.. He thought it was funny too!! ha ha.. Oh Mel Day, it's a mommy thing. I don't know why but I always laugh when someone gets hurt. You've got it too. My girls like to spray Pledge on my hardwood floors, hide around the corner and hollar "mom come here" they bust a gut watching me fall. Pledge makes wood floors slicker than bowling lanes. Laugher is good for the soul.

Jemelle, these people who are getting after you for calling your coworkers by the "friendly" names we all know them by! What I love about Kake is how you all seem like part of our family, who are pros at what you do. People want to know that you care . . . . and that's what you all are good at sharing.

Jemelle, I'm responding to the editor here, not your original blog. :) Dear editor, thank you for explaining that. So it was an editing problem with the Crimestoppers report. Oh, no need to apologize. We all make mistakes, me quite often, but not too often at KAKE, maybe once in a blue moon! If you can get the video of the Crimestoppers report online, I'm sure many people would like to see it. Thank you.

Jemelle, that was funny. Mike really jumped in to help you out! At least you weren't "bust-a-gut" laughing out loud. You were trying so hard to hold it in, weren't you? haha Like Margaret said, you never know what we will see on live tv. Were you watching KAKE last night? A reporter (who I had never seen on KAKE before) was talking about the Crimestoppers murder case which is usually aired on Tuesday nights. At the end of his piece he garbled his words and couldn't continue. I felt really sorry for him, and I know he must have felt really embarrassed. I think it was a teleprompt problem. Hope he feels better soon! ++++++ Deb - Last night was actually on tape, not live. The person who edited the on-camera tag onto the story chose the wrong one, editing a "re-take" instead of the good one. Our apologies. - Editor ++++++

Thanks for that laugh, i missed that one but its nice to see that we all mess up sometimes, it made me laugh to watch the video,I have been there, laughing when it may not have been a good time but couldnt stop, thank goodness for Mike taking over, would have been hard if it was is day off.hope you have a great day!

I am glad the camera guy is okay. This video is funny. It is funny to watch you laugh and not be able to stop laughing. And to think you were on t.v. at the time it happened.
