Good Morning everyone!  Hope you're having a great week so far as you get ready for the holiday.  According to Ben our weather is about to drastically change. Grab your coats. 

We had a pretty busy morning yesterday with breaking news.  About 7:15 we heard on the scanners that there was a shooting. It ended up being a man stabbed and shot to death near downtown.  We know this is a sad and serious story.  When this happens we go full steam ahead.   We quickly send a crew to the scene and start working the phones. For Mike and me this means we do breaking news updates from the newsroom and we continue to talk with the reporter out on the scene. Yesterday's shooting was a bigger deal because two schools were on lock down and parents really want to know this information.  It ended up with police searching for two suspects, a man and a woman.  We continued our news coverage into the 11:30 show with a live shot off the top of the show with Abby Barnett.  It's amazing how the energy in the newsroom begins to escalate when breaking news happens.  Everyone knows exactly what they need to do.  We try very hard to get the facts on first so, you know what's going on in the community.
