I once thought sports fans were crazy. Not regular fans like myself. I'm talking about the hot head, jersey wearing, face painting to watch a game at home, I'll fight you if you say anything bad about my team .. fans. But hold the phone 'likes to fight sports fan' .. I have found a group of people who make even the biggest 'know it all blowhard' sports fan seem downright tame. It's insane car fan. Not regular car fans like myself. I'm talking about the hot head, JEGS t-shirt wearing, Edelbrock sticker using, Corvettes are boat anchors, Mustangs all look the same, I'll fight you if you say anything bad about my ride ..fan. My first exposure to insane car fan came via Youtube. I enjoy watching car reviews online. Getting a first look at the new stuff coming out. Cars like the new Shelby Mustang GT500 or the 2012 ZL1 Camaro. Just reading the comments left by other viewers, you quickly realize that insane car fan is on another level. Many are full of language that even the most grisly NASCAR mechanic wouldn't use. It all comes down to Ford and GM .. with Nissan 350z guy chiming in to 'stir the pot.' And like 'blowhard' sports fans, who often insult fans of opposing teams with stuff like "When was the last time your stupid, sissy team won a championship?" ..or, in a roid rage scream down,  "You losers only won because you cheat! The entire team is on roids!!" .. of course, "your coach is fat" is also shouted 4 or 5 times. Insane car fans insult opposing automobile owners with stuff like "When was the last time Chevy ran an 11.5 second 1/4 mile with no aftermarket mods?" or .. "That Ford only wins because it has a supercharger and cost $15,000 more!" Both use bias personal opinion and non-logic to insult, belittle, scream down, and psychologically crush regular, normal car/sports fan .. like me. That's why NASCAR is dangerous. Insane car fan mixing with 'blowhard' sports fan. Toxic mix? Yes. Entertaining? Yes. A win/win. Go team! ..and Chevy is better then Ford, btw.
