Do yourself a favor, and watch the final 15 minutes of the Border Showdown.
Growing up in Kansas, I have always been a fan of the BIG 3. KU, K-State, and Wichita State. I'm a Shocker at heart, but I cheer for the Hawks and the Wildcats, especially during football season. Now that I have established that I am not a KU "homer," I felt the need to blog about one of the greatest quarters in college football I have ever watched. If you didn't see the 4th quarter of the Border Showdown in Kansas City last Saturday, then you missed 15 minutes of incredible football. KU vs. MU turned out to be a classic. Players on both sides of the ball (KU fan will argue this) were playing hurt, but it didn't stop them from giving 110%. Big hits, big plays, amazing individual and team efforts. All packed into the 4th quarter. MU had the ball, they would score. KU took over, and scored. This continued until KU scored in the final minute to eventually win the game. When it was over, all I wanted to do was thank all of the players from both teams for a tremendous job. Do yourself a favor and find a way to watch that 4th quarter. It was a good game, but the 4th quarter will put the fire of college football back in your belly. It's how the game should be played.
