Do they even sell just regular old Crest anymore? I was in my neighborhood Dillons yesterday to grab some paste. I realized that every single tube on the shelf was "whitening" toothpaste! Ten years ago, they still sold regular toothpaste, and i don't remember a city full of yellow smiles. Bring back AIM.
There is a radio war brewing in my truck. I'm usually on the road every morning at 6:45. The Game Plan on 1410 KGSO kicks off my trip. Then The Morning NewsWatch on 1330 KNSS takes over at 7. I love sports, but I have rediscovered Steve McIntosh. The guy is as good as they get, and his show (along with the very talented Ted Woodward) is air tight. So the war rages on, The Game Plan vs. NewsWatch. So far, it's a draw. Pop radio is dead to me.
Junk food is great. I love to slam a twinkie every now and then. But too much junk food, and your body will pay the price. The same goes for what I call junk food TV. I know adults who couldn't tell you who the Vice President is, but could name the entire cast of the "OC." Most reality shows are junk. They have no value, not even entertainment. It's TV filler. If you live on junk food tv, your brain will pay the price. Mix in some A&E, CNN, or Discovery with your E! and MTV. I miss CHiP's.
