Cooking has always been one of my favorite past times.  Whether it’s baking cookies or cooking a large Thanksgiving meal, I always love to take the challenge on.  Growing up, my mom would cook dinner almost every night and my whole family would always enjoy countless hours talking and having fun around the dinner table.  Family dinners were something that I really enjoyed when I was growing up and definitely miss now that I’ve moved away.

Since moving to Wichita, I’m working evenings, and making dinner can be incredibly difficult if I don’t plan ahead.  I’ve started using a slow cooker so that I can put dinner together during the morning when I’m home.  The beauty of the whole thing is it cooks while I’m at work and when I come home during my break at night, I find a delicious hot dinner waiting for me!  It’s the best invention!

I’ve run across the typical chili and stew recipes but am always looking for new ones to try!  Does anybody have any good recipes that they love?
