It’s hard to complain about temperatures in December and January in the 60s, but I do miss the snow… just a little bit. The Colorado spirit in me is longing for the first “real” snowfall in Wichita. I always look forward to the first snowfall of the year… it’s beautiful! After that, I could do without the slushy streets, the freezing winds, and the gray sky. Watching the snow from inside your house drinking hot chocolate has got to be one of the best things in the world! Now if only we could figure out a way to not have to shovel our driveways or drive in the snow, I think everyone would appreciate the beauty a little more!
Since the weather has been SO nice, and my family was in town, I decided to drag everyone to the Sedgwick County Zoo. Ok, let me put it out there... I LOVE zoos. I think the animals are so fascinating and big! I’ve been to my fair share of zoos across the country. I can honestly say, the Sedgwick County Zoo is one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to. It’s awesome! I can’t believe I’ve lived here over a year, and am now just getting around to visiting the Zoo. They have great animals and great exhibits! If you haven’t been to the zoo in Wichita… GO! You won’t regret it, and it is well worth the price you have to pay to get in!
This got me thinking… there have got to be other little gems around the state that I need to go and see. Do you have any spots that you love to visit? I would love any suggestions for the next time my family is in town!
