After several years of apartment living in various states… we decided to upgrade and move into a house!  How exciting right?  For months we watched the little house grow from just framing, to drywall, to paint, all the way up to the finished product!  I have to be honest, I’m not sure if I could ever go back to living in a small two-bedroom apartment.  It is so nice having a big kitchen, a large yard for the pups to play in, and not to mention, a guest bedroom for when we’re lucky enough to have out of town visitors...(hint, hint)

Now what I didn’t realize about moving into a newly built house, was all the extra little “things” that you have to do… Examples:  put in a yard, landscaping, building a fence, and how about adding fans and special lights and fixtures to get everything exactly how you want it!  Let me start with the landscaping…WOW!!!  That is some tough work.  We ended up hiring someone to put the sod in and figured that we could save a little money by doing the rocks, bushes, and trees on our own! After the back-breaking work of moving two tons of rocks… I now understand why landscapers charge so much!  That’s some tough work!

Needless to say, I think we’re to the point now where all the big projects are done!  Now it’s time to just sit back and enjoy the great Kansas view from our new home!  Isn’t moving fun…!
